Congratulations!

Congratulations!! Bravo!!

You made it through a cold, snowy winter!

When the warmer temps waffle between days, it feels like an accomplishment of sorts. A turning of a page. A new chapter. A milestone!

Even though I love winter, warm comfy sweaters, hot beverages, crackling logs, holiday festivities and snuggling in, spring feels fresh, new, a stark contrast to winter. It’s coming around again, feels right. Welcomed.

In my region, this was a real winter by my standards. Temps were often lower than normal and we saw quite a few snowy days: just how I like it! I enjoyed it except for the days of flu and virus. Spring is no guarantee those will stop, but if we had them, perhaps our immune systems will ward off another wave.

March may still have some bite in it, but spring days will win the battle and winter memories will be all that remains.

Onto Spring!

Soon trees will bud and flowers burst forth and pollen descend. Our world will return to green and an array of color. Our attire will diminish and outside activities increase. Lawnmowers and garden centers will buzz. The gardener will break soil. Mulch will spread and winter decor packed.

God’s genius of seasons does not flit by. We can’t help but notice the remarkable changes! Out of our control, yet orchestrated like a beautiful symphony, each piece playing its part perfectly.

Soak it in! Let your soul absorb and thrive. It fills our spirits. A lovely design by a loving God who knows our needs. The very earth and heavens He created speak to us and remind us of His majesty, supremacy, nearness and care.

This quote struck me …

Spiritual awareness is not our default setting. Cruise control is!

Gulp!

This is hard to swallow for those of us who feel a certain spiritual prowess, if only from age and repetition. We assume we notice, but do we?

We must awaken ourselves to notice. We can’t just see. We have to ingest: let it sink into our souls.

Life and newness are sometimes repetitive. We make assumptions based on familiarity. But, they are NOT a given. A gracious conductor who commands their appearing once more granted and orchestrated them. For our benefits. To supply for our needs. To care for us. And for us to once again recognize His works on earth.

Don’t let it’s cyclical appearing “cruise” by.

I pray this season you encourage your spirit to be aware, mark the amazing changes we view outside our windows and take it to heart!

May it refresh, invigorate, and renew you!

Don’t let “auto-pilot” diminish a stunning visual God displays for you!

P.S. – Don’t forget this Saturday, March 8th, is Spring forward. Reset those clocks😉

Blessings,

An amazing true God-story.
