She’s HERE … Introducing …

Allow me to INTRODUCE our Newest Grandbaby…

MISS INDIE MAE

She arrived Nov. 25th, day after Thanksgiving multiplying our thankfulness and blessings!

She presented at 6 lbs. 8 ounces and 20” long… a little nugget with the kissiest cheeks, enough to go around!

The best news is she and Momma are healthy and thriving!!!

We can’t wait to meet her in person in a few days!

What JOY that will be!

She arrived home to two eager brothers who have ogled and adored her presence. She will be the first girl they love. I’m sure they will be her protectors and defenders. Her home has filled with girly things bringing some girl-power to the boy domination it has known. Mom has a “mini girlfriend” and Dad has a “princess” to attend.

She is a LOVED, LONGED FOR little lady.

Like all children, she is a visible miracle! She is God reaching down and creating as only He can. From void, He brings forth life. Man can assist in a lab using God’s designed parts. But only God designs life and brings it forth.

We’ve never had a child or grandchild born in the holiday season. It certainly brings more focus and meaning to the Christ child’s birth we celebrate!

Before Christ’s birth, man hadn’t seen God, since the Garden of Eden. And then, only Adam and Eve saw Him. When Jesus was born, God became visible to all humanity!

Stop there and contemplate for a moment!

When Joseph, Mary, Shepherds and Wisemen gazed at baby Jesus, they were looking God in the face. Not since Eden, had man looked at God. I can’t even imagine how that felt or what it did to them. God came to life, human life. For His first sighting, He appeared as a baby. There is something so holy and sacred about that choice. His stamp as Creator and Sovereign align … a baby. No one can replicate its unique beauty or majesty.

Every birth is a hushed, holy moment! God designed bodies to procreate and a woman’s body to grow this human inside for 9 months. Then, as God’s presets function, it is “brought forth” to the world. A tiny human sent as a grace-gift to a Mom and Dad, a family, a world! Human birth is beyond our control. We are not in charge of it, even as a mother carrying it! It is the work of the divine!

At Christmas, we celebrate this most precious gift, a babe in a manger. Not just because he was a baby. He was God, sent as a “grace-gift” to change our lives for eternity. God used the gift of human life to present himself to man, allowing himself to be seen for the first time!!!

The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.”

Man bears an image of God. Something about us resembles Him. That thought always astounds me. What is it about us that resembles Him?

For me, staring in the face of a newborn reminds me of God. Only He could produce such a marvelous, miraculous work!! Only He!! It is a divine happening, calling me to a baby in a manger, God among us! Viewing a holy touch from the Divine!!

Our children and grandchildren are not God incarnate, but they resemble Him in some way. We get to see a visible part of God again in a new life, just as we saw God in his fullness in the Christ-child.

Indie Mae we are ecstatic in your arrival and presence in our family!

We feel God’s miraculous touch and grace by your presence!!!

You are a divine gift and loved beyond measure. 💗💗💗

Isn’t she the SWEETEST?!?

Please add any photos of your newest or sweetest to the comments!!

Again, hear me when I say, if you are still in the longing phase with perhaps infertility or loss, my heart breaks for you. We have walked that road multiple times as a family. It is in the shadow of those losses that I express so passionately the joy of life. It is not a given. And the very hard places make my elation exuberant!

Merry Christmas to Zee Zee,
